Microsoft and Google have been staunch rivals for at least a decade, and the couple has had several disagreements over the disclosure of security vulnerabilities in recent years. Google is stoking those disagreements again this week by revealing a Microsoft Edge security flaw before a patch is available. Neowin discovered that Google revealed the security flaw to Microsoft in November, and the company provided 90 days for Microsoft to fix it before going public, as it was rated "medium" in terms of severity.
Google also provided Microsoft with an additional grace period of 14 days to have a solution available for its monthly Patch Tuesday launch in February, but Microsoft did not achieve this goal because "the solution is more complex than initially expected." Is …
