Let's say you're a fan of the muscular-looking Mercedes-AMG GT, but it's terribly impractical to carry your two children or any type of cargo. There is a solution now in the form of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe.
Very clear that it is a rival to the Porsche Panamera, it is said that the GT 4-Door is the first "family" model of the Mercedes-Benz performance arm, following the SLS and the two-door GT. Not that Mercedes is hungry for elegant four-door doors that have enormous amounts of power, as the company announced the CLS 53 last month, which is based on this four-door GT. However, the AMG 4-Door aims to be more than a more sophisticated Mercedes-Benz.
The numbers are promising. Even the "base" GT 53 comes with 429 horsepower and a time of 0 to 60 mph of 4.4 seconds, thanks to the CLS six-cylinder gasoline engine and the soft hybrid system that provides an additional electric "boost" . The GT 63 comes with AMG 4.0 -Liter twin-turbo V8 and outputs 577 horsepower, with a time of 0-60 of 3.3 seconds, according to the company. Advance to the GT 63 S and the power increases to 630 horsepower, while the sprint time of 60 mph decreases to 3.1 seconds. All models get nine-speed automatic transmissions and all-wheel drive, but models with 63 specifications from the United States offer a Drift mode in case you feel the need to take your family sideways.

Those are impressive numbers for a high-performance sports car, but the GT 4-Door differs from other pure-bred AMG models by offering seats for four (up to five in Europe) and a hatchback. While rear seats with carbon fiber backs are available, the executive rear seat package offers folding seats that also include a touchpad between those seats to control various car functions. Your children will love that. However, things are not at all grim for those who are ahead, as two 12.3-inch TFT displays show the instruments and the infotainment system, although not the latest Mercedes interface.
The AMG GT 4-Door will go on sale in the USA. UU Next year. At first glance, it seems that AMG can have a real rival to the impressive Porsche Panamera.
