YouTube's number one video this morning was based on a false conspiracy theory that suggests a survivor of the Parkland high school shooting is an actor. The company eliminated the video today after receiving more than 200,000 visits.
The video, a copy of a local segment of Los Angeles CBS, showed an interview last year with David Hogg, a high school student from Florida, where a gunman killed 17 people last week. Hogg, one of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students who have spoken out on gun regulations since the attack, was interviewed after filming a heated altercation with a lifeguard in Los Angeles.
