Apple released iOS 11.2.6 today, which includes an error correction for the Indian language character (Telugu) that blocks an iPhone and makes applications such as Messages, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp inaccessible. The error was discovered last week, which allows anyone to send a simple character to an iPhone to block the device and block access to certain messaging applications. The bug also affects Safari and the messaging application built into macOS and Apple Watch.
Apple promised an update before iOS 11.3 and is coming today in the form of iOS 11.2.6. All current beta versions of iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS also solve the blocking problem. This is the third time in recent months that Apple has issued iOS 11 updates to fix errors that block iPhones. In…
