Conservative Twitter is freaking out over a reported bot purge

Twitter apparently suspended thousands of suspicious bot accounts, and some conservatives claim that it is a deliberate political offensive, or "Twitter block". This morning, a number of right-wing users complained about losing a dramatic number of followers, including Michael Flynn, Jr., decorative figure "alt-right" Richard Spencer, journalist Cassandra Fairbanks, and Infowars editor Paul Joseph Watson .
Other people posted reports (unconfirmed) that they had been temporarily blocked from their accounts due to "unusual activities" and "automatic behavior", and were asked to provide a phone number for verification.
