Dish reveals it has over 2 million Sling TV subscribers

Dish announced numbers for the first time for its Sling TV subscription service over-the-top, and it seems that things are looking good, and the company revealed that it had more than 2 million subscribers by the end of 2017.
That number – 2,212 million, to be exact – represents a 47 percent year-over-year growth for the broadcast service, which Dish claims is the "live and on-demand Internet streaming service # 1" available. That translates into a gain of around 700,000 new users in 2017, which is not bad, but it also means that it is growing at a slower pace than the newer services like DirecTV Now, which collected more than 1 million users on the last year.
