Elon Musk's tunnel boredom project has received a vaguer approval from the government for its equally vague plans to build an underground racecourse between New York and Washington, DC. Last week, the Department of Transportation in Washington, DC issued a preliminary permit to Musk & # 39; s Boring Company to begin digging an abandoned lot in the northeast section of the city, according to The Washington Post.
Exactly how much to dig, how deep and for how long is still unclear. A spokesman for Boring Company did not immediately respond to a request for comment, although the Post was told that the lot on New York Avenue could be a stop along a theoretical East Coast racetrack.
