We have heard rumors that LG will not call its next G-series phone the G7, and that the company eliminated its internal plans for the phone to start from scratch. But today, the Israeli publication Ynet published a video of a device that is clearly marked as the G7 with the code name Neo. It is not clear if this is really the device that LG will launch or if it is just to show the work done by the company in one of its next phones.
Ynet reports that this phone has a notch, of course, along with a 6-inch OLED screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5: 9. It has an 8-megapixel front camera, two 16-megapixel cameras on the back and a sensor of back fingerprints. It also incorporates the Snapdragon 845 processor from Qualcomm and has 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage. It has a 3,000 mAh battery.
VentureBeat reporter Evan Blass suggests that this might be the device canceled. He also says that this G7 was accompanied by a Q7 and V35, as well as a new watch.
I recommend watching the short video because it's grainy and hard to take screenshots, but at least you can get an idea of the device here. Take a couple of frames and photos below:
The back of the glass looks good, as does the deep blue color. It's kind of annoying to see that LG follows the path of all the other notch clones, but I think this is the consensus that phone makers have come up with about what people want.
