Nintendo has announced that Super Smash Bros. will be coming to Nintendo Switch this year, taking the popular combat game franchise to Nintendo's newest console.
The teaser came to the end of the company's Nintendo Direct presentation today. Virtually no information about the next release other than the 2018 launch window, but it seems that popular characters like Mario and Link will return to the franchise, along with the newcomers from Splatoon (making their first appearance as playable characters in a Game Smash Bros.).

While Nintendo has not provided too many details, the Switch version of the game will be the fifth title in the series, which has seen a version published on all Nintendo consoles since the original Super Smash Bros. came out on Nintendo 64 in 1999.
