It seems that OnePlus has a pair of wireless headphones in the works. As detected by Nashville Chatter, a list on the Bluetooth certification site reveals the existence of a product called OnePlus Bullets Wireless. As OnePlus already has two pairs of wired headphones called Bullets, it's pretty clear what this product is going to be. The only big question that the name leaves is whether they will be completely wireless or if they will include a cable that wraps around the neck.
OnePlus has already announced that it will include a headphone jack on its next phone, so wireless headsets are not really a necessity for the company. But it is not an amazing release either, since the headphone industry is moving in this direction, and there are many sales to be made. It is not clear when this product will be released, but it is likely that they will come out at the same time as the OnePlus 6, which is expected in the coming months.
While we do not know any details beyond the name (and some Bluetooth features included, one of which suggests possible support for high-quality AptX streaming), there are good reasons to be excited about what OnePlus has in the pipeline. Their current Bullets headphones are surprisingly good and only cost $ 20 – my colleague Vlad Savov called them "criminally undervalued" shortly after launch – and OnePlus will presumably play again here, as it does with their phones. However, wireless headphones are much more difficult to handle, so there is no guarantee that version one is so amazing.
