Samsung has announced that its modular TV, The Wall, which was shown at CES earlier this year will be available for purchase in August. No price has yet been announced, although it seems safe to say that it will be there as one of Samsung's most expensive TVs.
The Wall uses MicroLED technology, which according to Samsung offers an image quality similar to that of OLED screens, but with a better life expectancy. Samsung also highlights the modular nature of The Wall; since the entire screen is composed of smaller MicroLED panels, The Wall can be any size that customers want, whether it's a massive 146-inch screen like the one Samsung showed at CES, or some more unique aspect ratios like 4 : 3 or even 1: 1, depending on your particular needs.
Given The Wall's customizable nature and the technology it uses, it's probably not cheap when it comes out this summer.
