Samsung today announced the timing of its new DeX Pad, the company's docking device that transforms a Galaxy smart phone into a workstation similar to a PC. It will go on sale on May 13 for $ 99.99 in retail stores, although pre-orders open today at Samsung.com. Any order of the Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus through the Samsung website will also come with a free DeX Pad.
As a reminder, you can set your phone on the Pad to use it as a trackpad or keyboard. The S9 supports external screens of up to 2K resolution, and Samsung says that 30 to 40 partners have registered to make applications optimized for DeX, including Final Fantasy XV from Square Enix, Microsoft Office and some Adobe products. Go live your life without ties.
