Snapchat is borrowing an Instagram feature this time, somewhat ironic, since Instagram had shamelessly started Snapchat's Story feature first, with the app adding the ability to tag other users in stories with a link to their profile, according to TechCrunch.
The new feature was first detected by Matt Rappaport, and it seems to work as you expect: write a username in the text field of your image or video subtitle in Stories, and viewers can touch it to show a new menu that It links to the user's information, where you can add them directly as a friend.

Apparently, no autocomplete function appears when you type the "@" sign, so you must remember the user name of the person you want to tag, and that friend apparently will not receive a notification that they have been tagged, so it is They may not know that they have been added to someone's story until an avalanche of new friend requests arrives.
Snapchat confirmed to TechCrunch that "we are testing this," although the feature has not been extended to all users and there is no official word on when to expect a more formal version to be made.
