Spotify will announce news about changes to its mobile application at an event next week, according to an invitation sent by the company. The event will feature presentations from the head of R & D, Gustav Söderström, the vice president of product development Babar Zafar and the global head of services creators, Troy Carter.
Rumors have revolved around the April 24 event since the initial invitation came out a couple of weeks ago. At that time, it only directed recipients to save the date for a news announcement, which gives rise to assumptions that might have to do with updates to the application or possible hardware activities of the company.
Now that the new steering wheel confirms that the event will be about the mobile application, there are a couple of options with which it could debut. Spotify has been testing voice control with selected iOS accounts, allowing users to navigate more quickly through the application experience. In addition, according to a Bloomberg report, the company has been working on several changes to the free subscription that will facilitate the use of the service, especially for those who access it on mobile devices.
