The UK government and the Church of England have partnered to use Church buildings and other properties to "improve broadband, mobile and Wi-Fi connectivity for local communities." According to a government statement, this would involve transmitters in towers and church towers, as well as the installation of antennas, satellite dishes and fiber cables in church buildings. The Department of Digital Media, Culture, Media and Sports says that there are more than 120 cases of mobile and broadband services that are already being delivered from parish churches throughout the United Kingdom.
